Waqf means the permanent dedication by any person, of any movable or immovable properties for any purpose recognized Muslim law, as pious, religious or charitable

Waqf properties are spread across the country in rural and urban areas as such required to be managed by the Mutawallis or the Waqf Boards as the case may be. The Central Waqf Council, a statutory body, presently working under the Administrative  control of the Ministry of Minority Affairs was established in 1964 under the provisions of the Waqf Act, 1954  as Advisory body to the Central Government on matters concerning the working of the Waqf Boards.

Protection, Retrieval, Development, Better Management and E-monitoring of Auqaf under the provisions of Waqf Act,1995 as amended.

Our Mission:

Proactive role in safeguarding the interest of Auqaf.
